FYI, some recent Old Isleworthians’ connections. We now have: a former I&S pupil as a Champions’ League winner; an OIRFC member as CEO of a Premiership Football club; and an Old Is’ son in the British & Irish Lions’ squad and the RPA England Men’s Rugby Player of the year for the second in a row
The Old Is’ Bar. We have had a very successful re-opening of the club bar for the past two weekends, and we are looking to continue this throughout the summer with numerous football and rugby internationals on the two large TV screens. For those who haven’t seen the clubhouse bar for a while see attached photos.
For those who are local or visiting nearby, please note the dates below and come along to the club to watch:
o Wednesday 16th June annual Isleworth & Syon School Cricket Team vs an MCC team, 10 am start with the bar open from 11am to 9pm
o Friday 18th June 7pm bar for 8pm England v Scotland Euros match, with hot food available
o Watch this space for further announcements on Euros depending on England’s progress through the tournament.
o Friday 25th June 7pm bar open which If successful we’ll continue on Fridays through the summer, as well as the regular Saturday and Sunday openings.
o Saturday 26th June 2pm bar for 3pm British & Irish Lions vs Japan, Edinburgh
o We will be showing all the Saturday Lions South Africa tour matches, 5pm kick offs from 3rd July to 7th August, except 31st July.
o England Rugby – Sunday 4th July vs USA and Saturday 10th July vs Canada, ko’s tba.
Please note that we have to operate according to the Covid protocols which apply to all bars until the restrictions are lifted, and we will be accepting card only payments for a trial period.
We have already taken various function bookings, so spread the word to your family and friends about our great venue for parties and other social functions.
